Gulam Rasool

Gulam Rasool is no more. He breathed his last on January 11, 2014, after a prolonged illness at the age of 72. Those who used to visit Frontier’s office in the late sixties and seventies must know him. Rasool was an employee. When Samar Sen left NOW Rasool too left NOW, knowing fully well that Samar Babu was in no position to financially support him. In truth Rasool and John Baby tried their best in maintaining a skeletal office structure at 61 Mott Lane. At the initial phase of Frontier, Samar Babu could not pay them much. But they worked. Rasool was in charge of wrapping, posting and sundry other jobs. He used to commute regularly between Diamond Harbour and Sealdah to attend the office.
